Tour Guide at Wofford College
Class of 2021
Hometown: Easley, SC
Secondary Major: Math
Get involved early freshman year and pursue your passions relentlessly. I did not get as involved as I would have liked to my freshman year because I was too worried about what other people were doing. Follow your passions and you will find “your people” there, too!
I grew up competing gymnastics and love to coach it when I am home during the summers. I once did a handstand on the SkyDeck of the Willis Tower in Chicago- a glass box 103 stories above ground!
Hands down, my favorite professor is Dr. Pigott in the math department. He teaches some challenging math classes that really stretch your brain, but he is one of the most caring people I have ever met and knows just how to encourage me when I get overwhelmed. Even though I don’t have him as a professor anymore, I enjoy seeing him around regularly and chatting about anything and everything.
I chose Wofford because of it’s reputable academics, the beauty of the campus, and the sense of community. I encounter so many moments each week that I express to people as my "Why Wofford” moments whether it’s spending time in a great professor’s office hours, a professor creating opportunities for me outside Wofford, studying abroad during interim, or knowing everyone in my small classes.
