Tour Guide at Wofford College
Class of 2023
Hometown: Columbia, SC
Fun fact about me is that I do not like citrus fruits.
My advice to incoming students would be to get involved and to take chances with meeting new people at orientation and during FYI. My best friend from freshman year and now roommate was in my FYI course, but I didn't even meet her in that class because I was too scared to start a conversation first.
My favorite Wofford Professor is Dr. Revels in the history department because she takes into account those who maybe have less of an interest in history and really wants them to get excited about it. She loves teaching, history, and is a storyteller at heart. Even when we transitioned to being online this past spring, Dr. Revels, kept the class alive through her stories and passion for the subject.
I choose Wofford because of the opportunity to get to know classmates and professors as well as travel abroad. I went to a small high school where I knew all of my teachers very well, and I wanted to continue to have that relationship in college. Wofford is also the perfect distance from home. Wofford is a school where people stay in Spartanburg on the weekends, but if I ever needed to I could drive home.
