Tour Guide at Wofford College
Class of 2024
Hometown: Homewood, AL
Don't be afraid to get involved! The first couple of weeks at college can be a little overwhelming, but don't let that deter you from stepping out of your comfort zone and trying new things! After going to the activities fair, I joined a whole bunch of different clubs and met a lot of really cool people, as well as finding things that I loved to do. It really helped me during those first few weeks to get out of my dorm room and meet new people!
You don't have to decide on a college right away! For me, it took a lot of research, tours, info sessions, and chats with current students in order for me to come to a final decision!
When starting my college search, I knew that I wanted to find a place where I could be a part of small class sizes, get involved on campus, and have a good relationship with my professors. When I stepped foot onto Wofford's campus, I felt like I found that and a whole lot more. My tour was actually what helped me decide that Wofford was the place where I wanted to spend my next four years. My tour guide was very welcoming, and as we were walking around campus, I saw lots of friendly faces and people who would go out of their way to chat to our group. I knew from that moment that I could find my "chosen family" at Wofford, and that it would be a place where I could grow, learn, and thrive!
I lived in Melbourne, Australia for 5 years!
