Tour Guide at Wofford College
Class of 2024
Hometown: Chesnee, SC
Being from Spartanburg, South Carolina, I had never really considered Wofford because it was so close to my home. However, as soon as I stepped foot on campus, I knew that it was where I belonged. I was astonished by the beautiful landscape and loved the sense of community I felt even just as an outside visitor. I knew the tight-knit community would be an environment in which I could thrive, and the ability to form bonds with professors due to the small class sizes was exactly what I was searching for when considering where I wanted to continue with my educational career. I have loved every minute so far, and Wofford has been everything and more of what I could have previously imagined.
I wish I had known to listen to myself and my feelings about where I wanted to be for the next four years of my life. I spent a lot of time denying my wants and desires when deep down I knew where I was meant to be.
I absolutely love Taylor Swift and could probably answer any possible trivia question thrown at me about her!
My advice to incoming students is to ask questions! Everyone is so much more friendly than even I could have imagined, and there's no harm in asking about something you don't understand. I also think it is extremely important to make genuine connections with professors. Go to office hours, introduce yourself, and stay engaged because they really want to get to know you and watch you succeed!
