Although I may be very biased towards Wofford, I think that students looking at institutes of higher education should consider what is best for them and their interests. Don't follow your friends or make a decision because of what the general trend is at your school (unless of course it involves coming to Wofford). College is a time for growth both mentally and personally, so you need to decide what institution is best suited for your own personal growth and goals.
Wofford for me was an easy choice. Wanting to go into healthcare, it made sense to go to the college/university with the highest per-capita acceptance rate into med school in the state. Additionally, being a home-body, I knew that the school that I would eventually go to would have to feel like home to me, and I found that at Wofford. Everyone I have met here has been genuinely interested in my success and overall experience on campus. I have met my "home" away from home.
Two summers ago, I drove a U-Haul from Phoenix, Arizona to Charlotte, North Carolina to move my sister and all of her belongings. (Fun Fact: It takes a whole day to drive across Texas)
It's ok to act like a freshman! Wofford is one of the most welcoming communities I have experienced, and individuals at Wofford are so inclusive of freshmen and genuinely want to get to know them. Being a smaller institution, the upperclassmen are always open and welcoming of a new group of students.
