Tour Guide at Wofford College
Class of 2021
Hometown: Spartanburg , SC
Minor: German, Music
Growing up in Spartanburg with Wofford practically in my back yard I never gave much thought to a place so close to home. I wanted to get away from home but just far enough that if I need something at home I could drive and get it that weekend. So I started looking at schools in the South, Northeast and the Midwest. I ended up going on a few tours around colleges that were close by just to get a rough idea of what college life was going to be like. But after talking with friends who all had already been on campus for a tour, I decided to take a tour, to be honest I liked my tour but I really didn't fall in love with campus until I spent the night at the main event the spring of my junior year of high school and after meeting the students and the faculty and then having the chance to sit in on a class just really made me realize how much I love wofford.
My advice to any incoming student is time management, you are going to have a lot more time on your hands now. This can have upsides and downsides but it all depends on how you manage your time between work and play so to speak. You can sign up for all the clubs and activities you want. However these groups expect you to be able to show up when you are needed too.
