For me, the college journey was long and painstaking. I started looking at schools during my junior year but was unsure if I wanted a small or large school. My dad hired a college consultant to help me in my search process, she recommends a list of private liberal arts schools in the southeast and portions of the mid-Atlantic. I was very unfamiliar with all of these small schools but was able to tour them all. I toured around 12 schools and financial aid would play a large factor in determining where I went. After receiving all of my financial aid packets I narrowed it down to three schools. I did overnights at two of those schools and knew that I'd be attending Wofford.
I've participated in the Krispy Kreme Challenge for the past six years, completing the challenge four times. This year 's challenge was the first time that I was able to stay under the hour mark in back to back years.
My favorite professor from my first semester at Wofford would have to be Dr. Dorrol, I always looked forward to his class because of his sense of humor. He made the information in the class easy to learn and helped with mediating class discussions to further our learning.
I'd say that students need to stay true to themselves and know what they want in a school. They're ultimately in charge of deciding where they go to school. They need to find a balance between their workload and social life because they're ultimately coming to college for an education but it's important to make lifelong relationships with your peers.
